Reid Garrey has been the managing partner of the firm since founding it in 1987. Reid is a Board-Certified Specialist in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death. He served on the State Bar Advisory Commission for Personal Injury and Wrongful Death for eight years and was the Co-Chairman of that Commission for five years. He is an Advocate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has been AV Rated by Martindale-Hubble for over 20 years.
Reid was inducted in the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2004 and recently completed serving as the State Chair for the Arizona Chapter of the College. The American College of Trial Lawyers is an Honorary Society that is by invitation only and limited to the top 1% of trial attorneys in the United States and Canada.
He has been tasked by the State Bar to teach the Professionalism Course to new lawyers and has previously served as a faculty member of the Arizona State Bar Trial College. He has participated in numerous CLE presentations on trial practice.
Reid has tried over a hundred jury trials across the state. In addition to his extensive jury trial experience, he has tried numerous bench trials and arbitrations. Reid has also served as mediator and arbitrator on dozens of other cases. His specialty, and first love, is trying cases. Reid has tried cases for both Plaintiffs and Defendants in all types of civil litigation matters. His primary areas of practice are personal injury, products liability, professional and medical negligence, dram shop liability, premises security and liability, and commercial subrogation.
An alumnus of Stetson University School of Law, he graduated in 1983. He graduated third in his class while clerking throughout his law school experience. Reid was able to attend law school with the assistance of an academic scholarship. Reid graduated the University of Missouri in 1980 after previously working for a number of years in the trucking industry.
Reid volunteers his time to a number of different causes. He and his wife, Pamela, have 4 grown children and one granddaughter, Emma. They also have a house full of dogs. Pam breeds Bouvier des Flanders. Reid enjoys most sports and plays racquetball as often as he can.
